Arsenal go for Gourcuff as Lyon chairman in London for talks

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger isn't giving up on Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff.

Wenger wanted to sign the playmaker in August, but injury scuppered the deal.

Speculation regarding the former AC Milan man's future has been heightened due to Lyon upping their interest in Dijon midfielder Benjamin Corgnet, who looks like a like-for-like replacement.

RMC says Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has been in London this week to discuss the transfer - with Arsenal looking to add to their squad in January.
