Oklahoma cornerback, Aaron Colvin, announced Monday that he will be returning for his senior year.
The University of Oklahoma and head coach Bob Stoops announced Monday afternoon that cornerback Aaron Colvin would be returning for his senior season.
Stoops released a statement through the school:
"I am pleased that Aaron has come to this decision and I believe it's the right one for him," Stoops said. "I believe he has an opportunity to become one of the premier defensive players in the Big 12 and in the country. Hopefully, he will continue to work hard to reach that potential and help us achieve our team's goals." - SoonerSports.com
Colvin felt he still he still had some "unfinished business" before leaving Norman.
"I still have unfinished business at Oklahoma," Colvin said. "I'm excited for the opportunity to be back on the field with my teammates in 2013. There are team and individual goals that I'd still like to accomplish at OU." - SoonerSports.com
Needless to say, Colvin's return is incredibly good news for an Oklahoma defense that has already been hit hard by graduation and the early departures of both Tony Jefferson and Tom Wort.
Oh, and that sound you just heard was the collective sigh of relief on the part of Sooner Nation.
