New applications to will enable developers to build new applications
Microsoft has launched the latest versions of its core software application development integrated development environment (IDE) Visual Studio 2012 and .NET Framework 4.5 for developers.
According to the company, the new applications will allow developers to build latest applications which cover connected devices and continuous services, from the client to the cloud.
Microsoft Developer Division corporate vice president Somasegar said Visual Studio 2012 will enable developers to build and manage these consumer-focused and business-focused apps.
"It provides best-in-class tools that propel developers to build new apps or evolve existing ones, and it enables individuals and teams to deliver continuous value, with agility and on their own terms," Somasegar said.
"With our developer tools, we strive to give developers targeting these platforms the best possible experience, streamlining your ability to create apps that excite and exceed the needs of your customers, whether consumer-focused or business-focused apps."
Microsoft also revealed that over 70 Visual Studio partners are sim-shipping over 100 products for Visual Studio 2012.
The company claims that the first Visual Studio 2012 update will enhance support towards agile teams, allow continuous quality, raise SharePoint development with application lifecycle management (ALM) tools, and develop the abilities of Visual Studio 2012.
Microsoft has also unveiled Productivity Power Tools for Visual Studio 2012which include command-line utilities to enhance efficiency and are expected to be released for download in October 2012.
